Remove Watermark from Photo

It's generally fine for photos you took yourself, own, or have explicit permission to edit — like your own product photos or a personal photo with a leftover camera stamp. Removing a watermark from someone else's copyrighted photo without authorization can breach copyright law or the platform's terms, so only process images you're entitled to modify.

Common types include corner logos, repeated diagonal text, stock-photo agency marks, and date/camera stamps. Simple, high-contrast watermarks on a relatively plain background are the most reliable; watermarks over complex, busy backgrounds are harder to remove cleanly.

The tool reconstructs the covered area based on the surrounding image, which usually looks convincing for simple backgrounds (sky, plain walls, skin). Highly detailed or unique content hidden under the watermark is estimated, so it may not exactly match what was originally there.

It can attempt this, but results are less reliable the more important detail is covered — the model has to estimate what's underneath, so a watermark over a small background patch removes more cleanly than one covering a face or key subject.

Describe the batch and the type of watermark, and the tool processes multiple images with the same instructions, saving you from repeating the request for each one.

For low-contrast or very repetitive watermarks, a second pass with a more specific description of what remains (like 'the very faint text still visible at the top') can help clean up any leftover trace.
